Our talented junior high students recently completed an exciting craft project making their very own Gayor Bali!🌺 With creativity, teamwork, and lots of patience, they transformed simple materials into a beautiful miniature Gayor, full of color and Balinese artistic details.

But what is Gayor Bali?
A Gayor is a traditional Balinese ceremonial gate, often used as a symbol of welcome, respect, and festivity during religious and cultural ceremonies. It’s beautifully decorated with intricate patterns, carvings, and vibrant colors, representing the richness of Balinese art and tradition.
In this project, students learned how to design and decorate the Gayor using paints, textured details, and carefully shaped ornaments. More than just an art activity, it was also a way to connect with Balinese heritage and appreciate the cultural values behind this traditional craft.
The final results were amazing colorful Gayor creations that reflect both artistic skills and cultural pride. The students not only improved their crafting techniques but also discovered the joy of keeping tradition alive through creativity.
At BIMA, every project is a chance for students to learn, explore, and celebrate their identity while growing their talents.
